  • Relevant experience in defense, government, or complex technical environments; familiarity with U.S. Navy platforms or training programs is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, instructional technology, systems management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary technical and training teams.
  • Ability to work on-site in Lexington Park, MD, and support occasional visits to customer or fleet locations as needed.
  • Eligibility to work on U.S. defense-related projects; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if required.

Based in Lexington Park, Maryland, PTC focuses on the acquisition, delivery, and sustainment of mission-ready training solutions for naval platforms. The organization partners closely with defense and training stakeholders to improve operational effectiveness and readiness for the Warfighter. Team members contribute directly to projects that shape modern naval training capabilities in a highly technical, mission-driven environment.
Role Description The Technical and Instructional Systems Expert is a full-time, on-site role located in Lexington Park, MD. This position is responsible for supporting the design, integration, and maintenance of technical training systems used across U.S. Navy platforms. Daily activities may include analyzing training requirements, configuring and testing instructional systems, documenting system functionality, and coordinating with engineers, instructional designers, and project managers to ensure solutions meet operational needs. The role also involves troubleshooting system issues, recommending improvements to training effectiveness, and preparing technical and instructional documentation for end users. The expert will work within established standards, contribute to continuous process improvements, and support the successful delivery and sustainment of training systems.
