Computational Physics, Inc. is hiring a full-time Electrical Engineer to support operations at the U.S. Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C. The role involves providing test and validation support for time dissemination equipment, with responsibilities including RF electronics design as well as validation of atomic frequency standards. Candidates must possess a BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution and an active SECRET security clearance. Qualifications

• BS in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• Knowledge of EE fundamentals: circuit theory, power, RF, etc.
• Automated test and validation of electronic systems.
• Data analysis and presentation with MATLAB or Python.
• Use of test equipment: oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Active SECRET security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide test and validation support for critical time dissemination equipment.
• Design implementation of RF electronics, RF over fiber, and timing systems.
• Validation, troubleshooting and monitoring of atomic frequency standards.
• Investigation of new methods of clock signal distribution.

Skills

Knowledge of EE fundamentals: circuit theory, power, RF
