Job summary

Hydraulics International, Inc. (HII) is seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team in Chatsworth, CA.

The TIG Welder will set up and operate welding equipment to produce high-quality welded assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings and company standards. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of TIG welding experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, and experience welding precision metal components in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience welding stainless steel and aluminum preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
• Familiar with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges.
• MIG welding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate TIG welding equipment to weld metal components and assemblies.
• Weld stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.
• Prepare parts for welding by cleaning, cutting, fitting, and positioning materials.
• Inspect welds for quality, strength, penetration, and conformance to specifications.
• Maintain welding equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Follow safety procedures and work in a clean, organized area.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve issues.
