Job summary

Hydraulics International, Inc. (HII) in Chatsworth, CA is seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. Set up and operate welding equipment to produce high-quality welds from engineering drawings and specifications.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years TIG welding experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, and experience welding stainless steel and aluminum in a precision manufacturing environment. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7am–3:30pm, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience welding stainless steel and aluminum preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and drawings.
• Knowledge of welding procedures, materials, filler metals, and equipment settings.
• MIG welding experience is a plus.
• Aerospace, defense, hydraulic, or precision manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate TIG welding equipment to weld metal components and assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.
• Inspect completed welds for accuracy, strength, penetration, appearance, and conformance to specifications.
• Use measuring tools and inspection equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Identify welding defects and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Maintain welding equipment and report any equipment concerns or maintenance needs.
• Complete required production and quality documentation accurately.
