Job summary

Hydraulics International, Inc. in Chatsworth, CA is seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team.

You will set up and operate welding equipment to produce high-quality assemblies in accordance with drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of TIG welding experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, and experience welding stainless steel and aluminum in a precision manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience welding stainless steel and aluminum is strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of welding procedures, materials, filler metals, and equipment settings.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Produce clean, consistent, high-quality welds.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate TIG welding equipment to weld metal components and assemblies.
• Perform TIG welding on materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.
• Prepare parts for welding by cleaning, cutting, fitting, and positioning materials.
• Select the appropriate welding equipment, settings, filler materials, and techniques based on job requirements.
• Inspect completed welds for accuracy, strength, penetration, appearance, and conformance to specifications.
• Use measuring tools and inspection equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Identify welding defects and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Maintain welding equipment and report any equipment concerns or maintenance needs.
• Complete required production and quality documentation accurately.
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, and Quality personnel to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
