Job summary

Generac is seeking Welder I and Welder II for the 2nd shift in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The schedule runs Tuesday through Friday, 5:00 PM to 3:00 AM, with competitive hourly pay of $32.60 for Welder I and $33.85 for Welder II.

As a welder, you will perform Mig, aluminum and TIG welding, support robotic welding, interpret engineering drawings, and work under the area supervisor to produce high-quality parts for product lines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or Certification required.
• Internal written and physical weld test.
• Understanding of welding fundamentals.
• Basic welding experience and/or training.
• Basic knowledge of Mig Welding Equipment.
• Ability to follow direction and work in a team environment.

Welder I & Welder II – 2nd Shift

Welders are expected to perform under the direction of the area supervisor, perform Mig welding, aluminum welding, TIG welding, electric or robotic welding in the fabrication of parts, to be used in the assembly of product lines to create a high quality finished product. Components may be standardized or customized as to design and function.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
