Flowserve in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Welder to support the repair and fabrication of nuclear pump components. You will perform precision TIG welding from engineering drawings, working with production, engineering, quality, and project teams to ensure safe, efficient manufacturing to high standards.

You will contribute to continuous improvement in a highly specialized environment, with the ability to work on complex rotating equipment and travel up to 10% as needed.

Qualificações

• Ability to independently perform precision TIG welding or demonstrate capability to obtain required welding qualifications.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, assembly checklists, technical instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other inspection gauges.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform work requiring repetitive hand and upper-body movement.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsabilidades

• Perform TIG welding repairs and fabrication of new and customer-owned pump components in 2G, 3G, and 6G positions.
• Execute assigned work in accordance with routers, drawings, work instructions, checklists, company procedures, and Flowserve best practices.
• Assist with the disassembly, repair, assembly, and testing of pumps, rotating equipment, and related components.
• Set up and utilize precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges to verify dimensional requirements.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, torches, lifting equipment, cranes, forklifts, and other equipment required for manufacturing and assembly activities.
• Coordinate with production supervisors, shop leads, planners, engineers, project managers, and quality personnel to support production schedules and customer requirements.
• Complete required documentation accurately and ensure quality records, forms, and manufacturing documentation are submitted in accordance with established procedures.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by providing input on process enhancements, tooling improvements, safety initiatives, and operational efficiency opportunities.
