Knowles Precision Devices in South Carolina is seeking a welding technician to perform TIG and Laser welds on thin gauge sheet steel and aluminum, while reading blueprints and welding callouts for accurate assembly.

You will verify weld quality, use calipers and micrometers, and follow safety protocols in a team-driven environment. The role offers base pay of $20–$30 per hour and a competitive total compensation package.

Qualifications

• Proficient in TIG welding of thin gauge sheet steel and aluminum.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and welding callouts.
• Knowledge of metals and alloys for welding applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality welds using TIG and/or Laser processes.
• Read and understand blueprints and welding callouts in designs.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and scales to measure parts and verify tolerances.
• Operate welding equipment and flame-cutting tools for cutting, heating, or brazing.
• Verify critical weld requirements through assessments and inspections.
• Ensure proper fixturing and fit-up before welding.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE at all times.
• Communicate effectively within a team to drive safety and efficiency.
