Job summary

Mueller Water Products, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator Tester for the 1st shift (Mon.-Thurs., 4x10) at our Kimball, TN facility. You will operate testing equipment, read blueprints, and ensure products meet specifications.

Responsibilities include crane operation, documenting production and quality logs, and maintaining a clean, safe work area while following Stop, Call, Wait safety protocols. HS diploma and driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to use and read measuring tools, gauges, and machine panels.
• Strong personal commitment to safety standards in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Familiarity with basic measuring tools and when to use for inspection of parts.
• Must be organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment, positioning products, components, or parts appropriately.
• Safely operate overhead cranes in the moving of materials around work cell and testing equipment.
• Interpret or evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, or procedures.
• Read blueprints, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments required.
• Clean, maintain, calibrate, or repair measuring instruments or test equipment, such as dial indicators, fixed gauges, or height gauges.
• Regularly assist in the assembly of products whenever necessary.
• Maintain appropriate operational documentation, including production and quality logs.
• Ensures work areas and department are clean and organized.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to all relevant safety guidelines, procedures, and regulations and flagging any equipment or safety issues to the appropriate team lead, supervisor, maintenance, or EHS personnel utilizing "Stop, Call, Wait" procedure.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
