Job summary

N-K Manufacturing Technologies is seeking a production worker to produce plastic parts via an injection molding process in line with customer specifications and a set production rate.

You will inspect parts, pack finished items, and maintain records. The role emphasizes 5S practices, material identification, and established procedures for filling, metering, compression, and ejection to ensure consistent tablet weight and quality.

Qualifications

• Inspect parts to check conformance to customer specifications and record results as needed.
• Keep production and scrap records up to date per work instructions and procedures.
• Follow 5S requirements.
• Assist in problem solving and corrective actions for customer generated or initial corrective actions.
• Assure proper identification all materials; includes manufactured product, hoppers, grinders and material containers.
• Filling: Responsible for making sure Powder flows from the hopper into the feed frame, settling into the die cavity atop the punch.
• Metering: punch adjusts to a preset fill depth, forcing excess powder out of the die cavity to ensure exact and uniform tablet weight.
• Compression: The punches are pressed together inside the die by heavy compression rolls. The applied force dictates the hardness of the tablet.
• Ejection: The one punch retracts while the other punch rises, pushing the finished tablet out of the die cavity so it can be swept down the discharge chute.

Responsibilities
