Primoris Pipeline, Inc. seeks an Instrument Operator for a Corpus Christi project to provide accurate surveying data and support field teams in meeting project specifications and industry standards.

You will operate total stations, GPS, laser scanners, and data collectors, establish control points, perform field surveys, and generate reports while maintaining safety and equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred.
• 1–5 years of surveying experience in construction or energy projects.
• Proven experience as surveyor, rod man, or instrument man.
• Proficient in operating total stations, GPS, laser scanners, and data collectors.

Responsibilities

• Conduct precise measurements and survey activities using advanced surveying instruments.
• Establish survey control points, benchmarks, and reference lines.
• Set up and operate surveying equipment for accurate data collection.
• Perform field surveys to gather topographic and as-built data.
• Prepare survey reports with calculations and data analysis.
• Assist in construction staking plans and marking control points.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, industry standards, and safety policies.
• Maintain equipment and coordinate repairs when needed.
• Collaborate with the surveying team and support junior crew members.
