Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Precision Assembler to hand finish, assemble, and test reusable surgical instrument families with extremely intricate components. The role requires sharp mechanical aptitude, blueprint literacy, and precise use of measurement tools in a Monday–Friday first-shift schedule.

Responsibilities include polishing, assembling, inspecting with microscopes, and performing preventive maintenance while ensuring safety and high quality.

Qualifications

• Formal training or demonstrated ability in precision assembly and finishing.
• Experience reading blueprints/d drawings and understanding tolerances.
• Proficient in using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other precision tools.
• Experience using microscopes for inspection and assembly of small parts.
• Ability to work safely and maintain high quality in a first-shift manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and select wheels and perform bench operations to polish and finish components.
• Polish and grind components as needed to achieve required finishes.
• Process instruments to clean and electropolish as required.
• Receive products, review paperwork, and stage instruments for processing.
• Hand finish, assemble, and test reusable surgical instrument families with tiny parts requiring precise fitting and alignment.
• Identify and rework parts that do not fit or function properly.
• Use microscopes to inspect and align small components to quality standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and upkeep of equipment.
