Job summary

Enjet Aero in New Britain, CT is seeking an Aerospace Assembler to assemble structural aircraft components and subassemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and aerospace quality standards. Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in aerospace assembly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Proficient with hand, pneumatic, and power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble structural components and subassemblies per drawings and work instructions.
  • Install fasteners, bolts, rivets, nut plates, brackets, and aerospace hardware.
  • Use calipers, micrometers, gauges to verify dimensions and fit.
  • Read blueprints and manufacturing instructions for accurate assembly.
  • Properly align, fit, clamp, and secure components.
  • Operate hand, pneumatic, drills, rivet guns, and torque tools.
  • Torque fasteners per requirements and document operations.
  • Inspect finished work for quality and report nonconformities.
  • Maintain production/inspection records and keep area clean.
  • Follow safety and quality requirements and support continuous improvement.
