Job summary

HGC Industries in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Steel Rule Die Specialist to build, repair, and rework tooling that supports customer part requirements. This on-site, day-shift role reports to the Tooling Manager in the Tooling department.

The position demands hands-on mechanical aptitude, knowledge of hand tools and heavy equipment, and ability to read blueprints. 5+ years in tooling/manufacturing is preferred, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience using similar tools and equipment.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce Rule Dies that meet customer requirements.
• Rework tooling to meet customer requirements.
• Read blueprints.
• Document die repairs and needs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with the Production team to support and execute in-house continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
