Job summary

Coining, part of AMETEK Specialty Metal Products, is seeking operators to set up and run stamping presses, ensuring cleanroom-like 6S discipline and safe manufacturing practices in Montvale, NJ.

The role requires reading micrometers to 0.0001 inch, lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance, and coordinating with OPEX engineering on efficiency projects. Weekend work may be required based on production needs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work well with others and follow departmental rules.
• Must be able to perform duties without external distraction (phones, personal devices).
• Able to read micrometers and measure thickness to 0.0001 inch accuracy.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance or lifting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate stamping press and set up tools per work orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe 6S compliant work environment and perform regular Type A cleans.
• Follow shop work orders, manage multiple tasks, and complete assignments timely.
• Assist area manager with 6S initiatives and process improvement projects.
