Job summary

Heven AeroTech is seeking a Soldering Technician in Winchester, VA to perform precise hand-soldering, inspection, and rework for drone production. The role requires fine-pitch work under magnification and emphasizes quality documentation and process improvement.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hand-soldering experience, the ability to read technical drawings, and strong English communication skills. This position requires U.S. work authorization and adherence to ITAR/EAR guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; electronics training preferred.
• 3+ years of hand-soldering experience, including fine-pitch components down to 0402.
• Able to work under magnification for extended periods with meticulous accuracy.
• Able to read work instructions, schematics, wire diagrams, and assembly drawings.
• Familiarity with ESD procedures, lab equipment, and basic hand tools.
• Experience mentoring junior technicians and documenting changes to work instructions.
• Proficient English both spoken and written; eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand-soldering of through-hole, SMT, and fine-pitch components on PCBA and small assemblies.
• Assemble, repair, and modify wire harnesses per drawings and work instructions.
• Inspect solder joints under a microscope; rework non-conformances per workmanship standards; install modifications as needed.
• Read engineering drawings and BOMs; provide feedback to Engineering on documents.
