Job summary

Construction Material Testing is hiring Laboratory Technicians to turn field samples into measured data in a structured quality system. You will perform standard ASTM tests, maintain calibration records, log samples, and ensure chain of custody while breaking cylinders and reporting strength results the same day.

You will train within an AASHTO R18 compliant framework, with safety and quality standards guided by CCRL assessors to support accreditation programs and potential supervision tracks.

Qualifications

• Careful hands and clean documentation habits.
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus and helpful for precision work.
• No formal lab experience required; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform ASTM D698, D1557, D2216, D4318, C136, and C39 testing.
• Maintain calibration, standardization, and quality records.
• Log samples and preserve chain of custody.
• Break cylinders and report strength results on the same day.
• Support proficiency sample programs and accreditation assessments.
