Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Laboratory Technician to turn field samples into reliable numbers through proctor curves, sieve analyses, Atterberg limits, moisture contents, and concrete break strength testing. You will work within a documented quality system with calibrated equipment and clear accountability for every result.

You will perform standard ASTM tests, maintain calibration and records, log samples, and support proficiency programs.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and clean documentation habits.
• Willingness to learn; prior lab experience is a plus but not required.
• Comfortable with repetitive precision work and following procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform ASTM D698, D1557, D2216, D4318, C136, and C39 testing
• Maintain calibration, standardization, and quality records
• Log samples and preserve chain of custody
• Break cylinders and report strength results same day
• Support proficiency sample programs and accreditation assessments
