Job summary

Tektronix, a subsidiary of Ralliant, seeks a Software/Firmware Verification Engineer to join the Precision DC Verification team. You will design and execute verification strategies for software, firmware, and embedded interfaces, developing automated tests to ensure quality across our high‑performance instruments.

You will collaborate with software, firmware, and hardware engineers, review requirements, troubleshoot failures, and help drive release readiness and process improvements throughout

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in software/firmware verification or related field.
• 3+ years of software/firmware verification experience.
• Experience testing integrated software, firmware, and hardware systems.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience designing scalable automated test frameworks.
• Experience with source control systems such as Git.
• Ability to create test plans, cases, and verification docs.
• Strong troubleshooting across software, firmware and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and execute test plans to validate software/firmware functionality across embedded, software, and hardware interfaces.
• Create and maintain automated tests and supporting infrastructure.
• Review requirements and design docs to develop verification strategies with adequate coverage.
• Analyze failures, troubleshoot, and drive issue resolution with development teams.
• Document verification results, track progress, and communicate findings and risks.
• Collaborate with software, firmware, and hardware engineers throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support project planning with effort estimation, risk assessment, and release readiness.
• Continuously improve verification processes and automation capabilities.
