Job summary

Elma Electronic is seeking a detail-oriented Solderer to join the Backplane Manufacturing team. You will perform precise soldering on backplanes, including very small SMT components, using magnification.

The role requires 3–5 years of soldering experience in electronics manufacturing, the ability to read drawings and BOMs, and a collaborative mindset. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of soldering experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Able to solder extremely small SMT components under magnification.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and assembly instructions.

Responsibilities

• Solder on backplanes following detailed work instructions and BOMs.
• Solder micro-components (0402/0603/0805 packages) and verify placement.
• Read Bills of Materials and confirm component values.
• Inspect own work for workmanship standards and quality.
• Perform rework or modifications as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and managers on tasks.
