Job summary

Ducommun Incorporated is seeking a Hand Solderer for Surface Mount Devices (SMD) to manually place and solder miniature components onto PCBs. This role requires exceptional hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and precision when using microscopes and micro-soldering irons.

A strong candidate will be certified in J-STD-001 Class III soldering, with experience in both leaded and lead-free (RoHS) processes. Proficiency in reading blueprints and working from complex schematics is essential.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Operate under microscope with precision.
• Certified in J-STD-001 Class III soldering (required).
• Experience with leaded and lead-free (RoHS) soldering.
• Perform high-skill soldering, wiring, and assembly per schematics.

Responsibilities

• Manually place and solder SMD components on PCBs.
• Work under a microscope with tweezers and micro-soldering irons.
• Validate shop paperwork and travelers; ensure accuracy.
• Contribute to final assembly or sub-assembly builds.
• Troubleshoot and rework items as needed.
