Job summary

Elmet Technologies, a leading U.S.-based manufacturer, seeks a hands-on Machine Operator - Seco Slitter in Euclid, Ohio. You will set up, operate, and monitor slitting and leveling machinery to meet exact customer specs, maintain quality, and maximize material efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Manufacturing or industrial production experience.
• Strong basic math skills, including fractions and decimals.
• Experience using micrometers or other precision measuring tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial equipment.
• Ability to perform accurate calculations for equipment setup and close-tolerance work.
• Strong attention to detail and product quality.
• The ability to follow work orders, specifications, and established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitting, shearing, and leveling equipment to process finished orders and in-process material.
• Set up the slitter to required dimensions using measurements and conversion calculations.
• Operate slitting equipment according to order specifications and move material to the next operation.
• Check material gauge and surface condition before processing begins and verify quality.
• Maintain production records and assist in preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work area following 6S practices.
