Job summary

Morris Packaging in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a reliable Slitter Operator to set up and run single or multiple blade slitters. You will load and unload rolls, inspect for defects, and maintain logs.

This is a full-time, rotating 12-hour shift position requiring frequent heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs) in a fast-paced production environment. Training and benefits are provided as part of a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; related experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift and manipulate heavy objects (up to 75 lbs).
• Ability to read, write, and understand safety procedures; follow instructions precisely.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate blade slitter(s) and rewind stock into rolls.
• Load/unload rolls, ensure proper registration, and splice as needed.
• Maintain production logs and clean work area.
• Perform basic palletizing and stand-up pallet jack tasks.
• Identify and flag defects on printed rolls and ensure quality control.
