Job summary

Gauthier Biomedical Inc. is seeking an Production Operator to set up and run hydraulic transfer presses for molding silicone components that meet precise specifications.

You will prepare inserts, monitor tooling needs, and ensure products conform to quality standards throughout the process. The role requires basic troubleshooting, meticulous record-keeping of materials and silicone lots, and adherence to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related production experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates hydraulic presses used in silicone molding processes.
• Prepares inserts to be molded.
• Anticipates tooling/fixture requirements (Core Pins).
• Determines product conformance and performs associated actions.
• Marks or discards items with defects such as peeling, short fill, or contamination.
• Troubleshoots production problems and communicates with appropriate personnel.
• Records material used and silicone lot information.
• Analyzes processes to improve quality and productivity.
• Performs basic preventive maintenance as necessary.
• Performs deflashing, removes excess silicone, and cleans molded products.
• Paints logos/names on parts with silicone ink; operates pad printing machine.
• Uses hand and power tools; uses precision measuring instruments to verify conformance.
• Calculates dimensions and tolerances; performs other production assignments as needed.
• Maintains professional relationships and communicates with employees, managers, vendors, customers and regulatory agencies.
• Complies with company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety regulations.
• Regular attendance at work is required.
