Job summary

PLP in Ohio is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to manage the flow of materials and products on the production floor. This role involves receiving shipments, verifying and inspecting items, preparing outgoing shipments, and maintaining inventory records to ensure on-time deliveries.

You will collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve issues, uphold inventory accuracy, and document shipments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification within 30 days.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, inventory scanners).
• Basic knowledge of inventory management systems or ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• No travel requirements.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments, unload, inspect for damage and accuracy, and verify against purchase orders.
• Prepare and ship products, labeling and documenting as required.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with counts and replenishment.
• Inspect products for quality and coordinate with production and QA teams to resolve issues.
• Address shipping/receiving discrepancies with internal teams and customers.
