Job summary

National Peening Wallingford, part of the Sinto America family, seeks a Shipping & Receiving Inspector in Wallingford, CT. The role ensures accurate material flow and quality of shot peening/finishing per customer PO, working with Plant and Quality Managers to meet ITAR and internal goals.

You will handle shipment reports, incoming inspections, certifications in the E2 system, and adherence to POPs, with a focus on safety and quality standards in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required. Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Shipping and Receiving experience, 1-3 years
• Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements and be able to present documentation at date of hire
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and work safely in a dusty, noisy industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily shipment reports.
• Perform incoming inspections, issuing receiving paperwork and performing customer purchase order contract review
• Perform receiving inspections with required training to customer visual and dimensional inspection requirements.
• Create job/part certifications within E2 system.
• Review and over-inspection co-workers final customer certifications and packing slips.
• Capable of issuing customer awareness documents and quality department non-conformance reports.
• Understand customer operation sheets and verify peen required, peen optional and peen not allowable areas per customer technical data.
• Read, understand and perform work to written procedures; POP's or equivalent.
• Perform sieve test analysis to standards.
• Utilize (Profilometer) surface analyzer and measure part surface finish to POP requirements.
• Learn to calibrate quality tools and equipment as needed.
• Correctly complete and sign all E2 router steps related to work performed.
