Job summary

Lancaster Metal Manufacturing is seeking a Shear Operator in Lancaster, PA to operate power shears and cut steel rolls and sheets per specifications. Under limited supervision, you will ensure material meets tolerances and prepare cut pieces for workflow.

This is a full-time, union hourly position with hours Monday–Friday, 6 AM – 2:30 PM, with overtime and Saturdays as needed; benefits include medical, 401(k), paid holidays, vacation, and tuition reimbursement after 6 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate power shears to cut plates and sheets per specifications.
• Verify material meets tolerances and perform necessary adjustments.
• Record data and fill out work orders and reports.
• Keep work station clean and organized and assist with setup.
