Job summary

Southern Specialties is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our climate-controlled facility. You will assemble sheet metal products by following packets, blueprints, and work instructions, using hand and power tools with care and precision.

In this role you will inspect your work for quality, maintain a clean workspace, and collaborate with teammates to meet daily goals. You may assist with final inspections, packaging, and shipping while adhering to safety rules and policies.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a manufacturing assembly environment.
• Detail-oriented with ability to assemble tight-tolerance products.
• Experience with hand tools and power tools; comfortable with measuring equipment.
• Able to read and follow safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Able to read/interpret blueprints or job packets to understand assembly.
• Strong attention to detail and reliable work habits.
• Team player with a positive attitude and reliable work habits.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products by following job packets, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Use hand tools and power tools like drills, screwdrivers, and rivet guns.
• Check your work to ensure quality and safety standards.
• Keep your work area clean and organized to help the team.
• Work closely with teammates and supervisors to meet daily goals and deadlines.
• Assist with final product inspections, packaging, and shipping when needed.
• Always follow safety rules and company policies.
