Job summary

RBC Bearings is seeking a skilled shop personnel to set up and operate a saw to cut parts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to process controls. The role requires reading gauges, selecting correct blades, performing maintenance, and maintaining records.

You will work with calipers, micrometers, and overhead crane, ensuring pieces meet order specifications while following safety and housekeeping rules. This position is essential to our precision manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Work Keys assessments required: Reading for Information - Level 3, Applied Mathematics - Level 3, Locating Information - Level 3, Observation - Level 3.

Responsibilities

• Start up machine and understand machine control panel.
• Make size adjustments.
• Change blade and blade brush position.
• Change blade speed and feed.
• Set clamps and guides.
• Stop machine.
• Use calipers and micrometers.
• Use overhead crane.
• Verify proper steel size per order before cutting.
• Measure workpieces for proper length and squareness.
• Understand and documents Process Control Plan.
• Perform daily inspections on equipment.
• Record required information related to production, quality and time.
