Job summary

The ideal candidate can read a tape measure, perform basic math, adjust stops and guides, verify cuts with measurement tools, and maintain a clean, safe work area while following company procedures and communicating with the team. The position requires 1–3 years of saw experience plus good organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Experience operating band saw or chop saw preferred (1–3 years).
• Ability to follow work orders and instructions precisely.
• Strong safety and housekeeping awareness.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and gather tools and materials as instructed.
• Set up saw machine and adjust for each job.
• Set stops or guides to specified lengths.
• Operate saw safely and monitor for defects.
• Verify cuts with measurement tools.
• Inspect finished pieces for quality and report discrepancies.
• Maintain and clean work area daily.
• Notify supervisor of faulty equipment or materials.
• Coordinate with supervisors and coworkers.
