Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Saw Operator / Pre-Fabrication for a permanent, onsite position in Becker, MN. You will cut, form, and prepare metal parts according to engineered drawings and schedules, operating bandsaws and related equipment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, verifying dimensions with a tape measure, meeting daily production goals, and maintaining safety and housekeeping on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Experience reading tape measures and precision cutting.
• Hands-on fabrication experience in metal/steel shops.
• Competent in operating bandsaws or similar cutting machinery.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Strong attention to exact measurements and tolerances.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort with shop tools.
• Reliable work history and safety-conscious approach.
• Capable of working independently with limited supervision.
• Flexible to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Cut, form, and prepare metal parts per drawings and schedules.
• Operate bandsaws and cutting equipment for precise parts.
• Read blueprints to determine dimensions and fabrication needs.
• Accurately use tape measure to verify dimensions before/after cut.
• Coordinate with engineering/production to meet timelines.
• Maintain quality, meeting tolerances and specs.
• Meet daily/weekly production goals while staying safe.
• Work without constant supervision and adapt to priorities.
• Keep workstation clean and organized; report equipment issues.
• Support pre-fabrication by prepping materials for downstream ops.
