Valmont Industries, Inc. in Valley, Nebraska, is seeking a Saw Operator to cut shafts per blueprint and support multiple production lines. You will use precise measurements and operate forklifts to supply materials.

The role requires reading blueprints, tape measures, micrometers, and protractors, with overtime possible. You will collaborate with Material Handlers, QA, Dispatchers, Set Up Operators, and Leads to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Read and decipher blueprints and use a tape measure, micrometer, protractor.
• Able to read standard and O.D. measurements for exact cuts.
• Forklift certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Overtime may be required for business needs.
• Learn inventory locations and assist Material Handlers.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a saw to cut shafts per blueprint.
• Use measuring tools to ensure correct lengths, diameters and angles.
• Look up part locations using IFS and issue materials to shop orders.
• Operate a forklift to transfer material and deliver product.
• Participate in LEAN activities and maintain a clean work area.
• Assist assembly lines when workload allows.
