Job summary

Valmont in Valley, Nebraska, is seeking a Saw Operator to cut shafts per blueprint specifications and support multiple production lines. The role includes operating a forklift, coordinating with Material Handlers and Leads, and ensuring timely production in a 1st shift schedule (Mon-Fri 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.).

The candidate must read blueprints, use measuring tools, and have forklift certification within 90 days, with a commitment to safety and Lean improvements.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations for product setup.
• Ability to read and use a standard/measuring tools (tape measure, micrometer).
• Read and decipher blueprints to process scheduled work.
• Ability to work overtime when required for business needs.
• Forklift certification within first 90 days of the job.
• Learn inventory locations for material acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a saw to cut shafts per blueprint requirements.
• Measure lengths, diameters, and angles using standard tools.
• Locate parts using IFS and issue materials to shop orders.
• Operate a forklift to move material and deliver product.
• Participate inLEAN activities and follow safety policies.
