Sunshine Metals in Wichita is seeking a Back Saw Operator to cut material using plate and bar saws. The role supports service center operations with strict adherence to specifications and safety standards.

The candidate should have 2+ years of saw/machinery experience, strong measurement and data-entry skills, and proficiency in MS Office. Shifts are 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years with saws/machinery or related training.
• Experience in metals service center industry preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to measure accurately and read numbers.

Responsibilities

• Operate one or more plate/bar saws in the service center.
• Process orders to customer specifications and ensure on-time completion.
• Measure and stage material, and log data into the system.
• Operate cranes and forklifts safely and follow rigging procedures.
• Assist in packaging, receiving, and weekly inventory counts.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to safety rules.
