Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Experience operating industrial saws is a plus.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Ability to read blueprints or willingness to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate horizontal and vertical band saws and other cutting equipment.
• Read work orders, blueprints, and cut lists to determine material requirements.
• Measure, mark, and cut raw materials to precise specifications.
• Verify dimensions using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools.
• Load, unload, and safely handle metal materials.
• Identify and label cut material for the next stage of production.
• Inspect materials for quality and report any defects or inconsistencies.
• Maintain production records and material counts.
• Perform routine housekeeping and basic machine maintenance.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Work with production, fabrication, and shipping teams to meet production schedules.
