Aerotek in Wichita, KS is seeking a Machine Saw Operator to operate metal cutting saws and process materials per detailed orders. You will handle material from receipt to packaging, verify dimensions, and maintain safe, clean work areas in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Requires 2+ years of saw operation with metals and 3+ years warehouse experience, plus basic math and blueprint-reading skills. Competitive hourly pay and full benefits offered, with shifts available across 1st–3rd.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of saw operation experience with metals in manufacturing or warehouse.
• 3+ years warehouse experience in manufacturing or distribution.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write to understand work orders and docs.
• Lift and carry up to 40 pounds safely and repeatedly.
• Basic math for inventory control and measurements.
• Proficient with metal cutting saws and similar equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints for cutting requirements.
• Read rulers and tape measures accurately for precise cuts.

Responsibilities

• Operate metal cutting saws to process material per work orders.
• Set up and run saws following instructions and notes.
• Inspect and verify product against specs and records.
• Record measurements and track inventory per plans.
• Control inventory on each work order using math.
• Read blueprints to determine cutting requirements and specs.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, and material handling equipment safely.
• Enter and manage material IDs per instructions.
• Weigh and record inspection measurements accurately.
• Identify and segregate scrap or non-conforming material.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Keep measurement equipment in good condition.
• Assist packaging per work instructions and orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Follow safety guidelines to avoid unsafe situations.
• Provide feedback on machine efficiency and product quality.
• Support lean and quality improvement activities.
• Train teammates in saw operation when required.
