Job summary

Xona is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to support quality inspection activities within its satellite Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) facility. You will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure materials, components, and satellites meet engineering requirements and quality standards.

You will document results in QMS/MES/ERP, maintain traceability, and work with cross-functional teams to prevent defects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing inspection, or a similar hands-on manufacturing environment (aerospace/space preferred).
• Reading engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and work instructions; experience with QA/Manufacturing software.
• Familiarity with dimensional inspection and GD&T.
• Experience with mechanical and/or electrical assembly inspection.
• Proficiency with hand tools, torque tools, PCB test/inspection equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation/traceability.
• Teamwork and clear communication in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Organized, detail-oriented, trustworthy in fast-paced settings.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ASQ certification or related experience is a plus.
• IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection of parts and materials against drawings and purchase Orders.
• Conduct in-process inspections through assembly and test stages.
• Support final inspections; measure, record, test and document results.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical equipment, and other measurement tools.
• Document inspection results in QMS/MES/ERP for traceability.
• Identify and report nonconforming conditions; support containment/disposition.
• Support first article, receiving, sampling, and other inspections as needed.
• Follow safety/5S; maintain cleanroom-like, ESD-safe practices.
