Job summary

Xona is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to support inspection activities within a satellite Assembly, Integration & Test production facility. The QA Inspector will perform incoming receiving inspection, in-process, and final inspections to verify that materials, components, modules, and completed satellites meet engineering requirements and quality acceptance standards.

This role works with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality Engineering to identify issues

Qualifications

• 3+ years in quality or manufacturing inspection
• Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs, and digital work instructions
• Familiarity with dimensional inspection and GD&T knowledge
• Experience with mechanical and/or electrical assembly inspection
• Proficiency with hand tools, torque tools, and PCB test equipment
• Strong documentation and traceability practices

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection against drawings, specifications, purchase orders, certificates, and quality requirements
• Conduct in-process inspections at predefined steps
• Support final inspection for sub-assemblies and satellites; measure, record, and document results
• Document inspection results in QMS/MES/ERP systems
• Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming conditions; support containment and disposition
• Support first article, receiving, sampling inspections as needed
• Adhere to safety and 5S protocols in a cleanroom-like environment
