Job summary

Rubbercraft is hiring a Manufacturing Technician – Material Prep (1st Shift) in Long Beach, CA to support the preparation of raw materials used in the production of precision molded rubber components for aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. You will cut layup templates, weigh and pre-form rubber compounds, and operate cutting equipment to maintain traceability.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent manufacturing experience.
1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience with calendars, uncured elastomers, rubber mills, or cutting equipment is preferred.
Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

Cut layup templates using blades according to production routers and work instructions.
Weigh, pre-form, and prepare materials for the molding press line.
Operate rubber cutting equipment while following all safety procedures.
Maintain accurate part identification and material traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
Meet production schedules and complete assignments in a timely manner.
Support other production areas as needed.
