Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated is seeking a skilled machine operator in Mississippi to set up and process plywood parts through routers and wood cutting machines, ensuring parts meet print specifications and quality standards.

You will read part prints with calipers, calibrate and changeover machines, feed stock, monitor cutting, and perform quality checks while maintaining 5S and LO/TO safety standards and a clean, productive work area, supporting teamwork.

Qualifications

• Reads part prints and checks specifications using measurement tools.
• Interprets prints with tolerances to ensure correct part dimensions.
• Basic computer skills for logs and timesheets are helpful.

Responsibilities

• Obtains work order to determine parts to be processed.
• Setup, calibrate and changeover machine to print specifications.
• Feeds wood stock through machine to create specified parts.
• Monitor machine for proper cutting and drilling.
• Quality checks parts per control plan.
• Reads parts prints, tape measure, caliper, and depth gauges to check specifications.
• Counts and records part quantities; completes timesheets.
• Moves finished parts to storage location.
• Perform Daily/Weekly preventative maintenance tasks.
