Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman papers in General Machining or Tool & Die trades.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate test equipment and maintain records.
• Perform mechanical repair of roll grinding machines and equipment.
• Select, mount and install grinding wheels on various machines.
• Move rolls and assemblies using cranes and forklifts to support mill operations.
• Grind rolls to exact shape, finish and tolerances.
• Inspect roll surface using surface roughness, hardness, diameter and shape checks.
• Read blueprints in metric and imperial units.
• Maintain and troubleshoot roll grinding machines.
