Job summary

1X in San Carlos seeks an Assembly Technician for the Hands team to build precision electromechanical subassemblies for NEO humanoid robots. You will assemble motors, encoders, PCBs, and harnesses to micron-level tolerances and document construction in build logs.

You will work on day or swing shifts, with requirements for meticulous workmanship, tool proficiency, and strong communication across shifts and with engineering. Join a mission to create safe, scalable robotics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in precision electromechanical assembly or similar
• Hands-on experience assembling miniature components and fine-pitch connectors
• Proficiency with precision hand tools, calibrated torque instruments, and dimensional inspection tools
• Working knowledge of ESD handling procedures and controlled-environment protocols
• Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled shifts consistently in a team environment
• Professional-level English proficiency (written and verbal)

Responsibilities

• Build hand subassemblies to spec with micron-level tolerances and conformance
• Hit shift production targets without compromising quality and uptime
• Catch and document defects, process deviations, and material issues at the workstation
• Maintain complete build logs and inspection data for every unit touched
• Drive continuous improvement on the line by surfacing issues and proposing fixes with engineering
