Job summary

Klein Tools in Fort Smith, AR is seeking a Rivet Machine Operator to perform riveting on canvas, leather and related materials to produce tool bags and pouches. You will align parts, set rivets and follow safety procedures to ensure quality outputs.

You will read daily safety procedures, monitor for imperfections, and collaborate with teammates to keep production flowing. A high school diploma and manufacturing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred with manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of materials, their characteristics and flaws for quality.
• Ability to read, write and understand basic instructions.

Responsibilities

• Align and position parts against anvil to set rivets using foot levers.
• Monitor for in-process imperfections and report to supervisor.
• Move completed work within the department as needed.
• Set up rivet machines and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Read and verify daily safety procedures before operating.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
