Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related experience preferred.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand basic English.
• Ability to demonstrate basic math skills and perform visual quality inspections.
• Basic computer skills may be required depending on the equipment.
• Learn, problem-solve, and make decisions per work instructions and documents.
• Communicate effectively and work as a team member.
• Able to work overtime as needed by the company.

Responsibilities

• Run production jobs on various types of semi-automated equipment and/or perform light assembly, packaging, or other manual tasks to produce quality parts while maintaining productivity standards.
• Inspect product quality using gauges and perform visual inspection; record downtime and shift communications in a log book.
• Read work orders and blueprints to identify specifications; verify bill of materials and inventory transactions.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and report defects to technical staff.
• Report accurate counts of production parts, scrap, and labor hours via paperwork or electronic entry.
• Adhere to 6S standards and participate in lean manufacturing activities.
• Cross-train by rotating to different machines and areas as required.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
