Mercury Systems in Columbia, MD is seeking an Intermediate Solder Assembler to perform precision hand soldering and assembly on RF electronic assemblies including production units and test fixtures. This is a 1st shift position in a dynamic manufacturing environment requiring strong attention to detail and proficiency with microscope work and fine-pitch component assembly.

You will handle 0201 passives, leadless QFNs, BGAs, set up reflow ovens, and inspect joints for quality, with opportunities

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Soldering experience with surface mount components (0201 and 0.4 mm pitch).
• Meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Typically requires at least 2 years related experience.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Comfortable working under a microscope and in an ISO 9001/AS9100 environment.

Responsabilidades

• Perform precision hand soldering of surface mount components including 0201 passives, leadless QFNs, and BGAs.
• Assemble products and test fixtures following drawings and BOMs.
• Operate reflow ovens, hot plates, hot air stations, and soldering irons.
• Work in an ESD-controlled environment and under a microscope for fine-pitch work.
• May perform wire bonding or die attach operations as required.
• Inspect solder joints and assemblies to ensure quality standards.
• Identify, document, and communicate assembly issues to engineering and production.
• Maintain accurate production records and traveler documentation.
• Communicate technical issues to cross-functional teams.
