Job summary

Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes RF/microwave modules and sub-systems globally. We seek a micro-assembler to build MIC and SMT hardware for NPI and production, performing die attach, wire bonding, soldering, and related tasks in a structured manufacturing setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 5+ years in micro-assembly, ability to read drawings, and proficiency with ERP and MS Office. On-site NY location, with growth opportunities in a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 5 years of micro-assembly experience in SMT and small mechanical assembly.
Minimum 2 years of micro-assembly experience in MIC, die attach and wire bonding.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
Ability to read and interpret an assembly drawing.
Ability to sit at a bench for extended periods and work under a microscope.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; ERP system familiarity.
Willingness to work in a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Performs die attach using electrically conductive epoxies and dispenses epoxy manually and with a dispensing machine.
Performs wire bonding with various wire/ribbon sizes and ball or wedge bonds.
Performs welding operations using a gap welder.
Performs tacking with a thermosonic bonder.
Performs soldering of small components.
Self-inspects own work and assists with troubleshooting units.
Reads assembly drawings and provides markups with improvements/design changes when necessary.
Provides feedback on manufacturability during the E-Run phase to make the design production-ready.
