Job summary

Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures, and distributes RF/microwave hardware. We seek a micro-assembler to build MIC/SMT hardware for NPI and production. Salary ranges from $25-31/hr, with duties including die attach, wire bonding, welding, soldering, rework, and ERP transactions.

Requires 5+ years micro-assembly experience, 2+ years MIC/die attach, English communication, and ability to read assembly drawings; ERP proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform die attach using conductive epoxies, dispense epoxy manually and with a machine.
• Wire bonding with various sizes; perform ball and wedge bonding.
• Welding and tacking operations using appropriate equipment.
• Solder small components and perform delicate rework with minimal damage.
• Self-inspect work and assist with troubleshooting during inspection.
• Review assembly drawings and markups; provide design improvement input.

Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. Position Summary:

• Act as a micro-assembler to build small MIC and SMT based hardware for NPI (New Product Introduction) and production purposes.

Salary Range:$25-31/hr.

Job Function:

• Performs die attach using electrically conductive epoxies.Dispenses epoxy using both manual techniques and a dispensing machine
• Performs wire bonding tasks using a variety of wire and ribbon sizes and both ball and wedge-based techniques.
• Performs welding operations using a gap welder.
• Performs tacking operations using a thermosonic bonder.
• Performs soldering tasks with small components.
• Performs delicate rework tasks while minimizing collateral damage.
• Self-inspects his/her own work.
• Assists with troubleshooting units for inspection
• Reads and works from assembly drawings and provide markups with improvements/design changes when necessary.
• Provides feedback on the manufacturability of the design during the E-Run phase to make the design production ready.
• Keeps work area neat and clean and assists other staff with keeping lab clean.
• Perform all relevant transactions in the ERP system (Move In, Move Out, Clock On, Clock Off, etc.).

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years of micro-assembly experience in SMT, small mechanical assembly
• Minimum 2 years of micro-assembly experience in MIC, die attach, wire bonding
• Ability to read, write and orally communicate in English.
• Ability to read and interpret an assembly drawing.
• Ability to utilize electronic work instructions and assembly drawings.Ability to sit at a bench for an extended period of time.
• Ability to work under a microscope.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to learn ERP interface to order parts and perform run related transactions.
• Must be willing to work in a multi-disciplinary team (Engineers, Technicians, Assemblers, Designers, Manufacturing and Process Engineers).
• Must be willing to grow and improve micro-assembly skills and work closely with other assemblers
