Job summary

Fortis Solutions Group is seeking a Rewind Operator to run a rewind machine and convert large press rolls into smaller customer rolls according to job tickets. You will verify lengths, copy position, core size and perform quality checks throughout the process.

Eligible candidates have a HS diploma and at least one year of machine operation experience; printing production background is a plus. This is a full-time, on-site role in a warehouse environment with safety expectations.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of previous machine operation experience.
• Printing related production experience preferred.
• Good communication and attention to detail expected.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain accuracy across tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate rewind machine to break large rolls into finished customer rolls.
• Review job tickets for copy position, cores, and lengths.
• Quality-check labels and rolls for consistency and defects.
• Perform splices and verify ID numbers with supervision sign-off.
• Package finished rolls and place in correct shipping or stock area.
• Communicate issues with labels, runs, or IDs to supervisors.
