Job summary

Fortis Solutions Group seeks a Rewind Operator to set up and run rewind equipment, turning large press rolls into customer-specified smaller rolls. You will ensure quality, verify IDs, perform splices, and prepare rolls for shipping or stocking while following Fortis procedures.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe work area, communicating issues to supervision, and adhering to safety regulations. This role requires attention to detail and reliable task execution.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of machine operation experience; printing-related production preferred.
• Good communication and attention to detail.
• Proactive in identifying problems and coordinating with management.
• Ability to manage multiple labels and maintain organization.

Responsibilities

• Review job work instructions and set up rewind machine, including blades, cores, and copy position.
• Operate rewind machine to break large rolls into finished customer rolls.
• Review labels and rolls for quality and consistency.
• Perform splices and verify product IDs with supervisor sign-off.
• Verify Core IDs and ensure proper box IDs for shipping or stock.
• Communicate issues with labels or IDs to Shift Supervisor/Production Manager.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow Fortis policies and safety regulations.
• Additional duties as required.
