Job summary

Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials Inc. is seeking a Ram Extrusion Line Operator to join our manufacturing team in a safety-focused role.

You will operate and monitor the Ram Extrusion Line and AutoDrill, perform quality inspections, and ensure adherence to production schedules and customer specs. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, manufacturing experience, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing, extrusion, or machine operation preferred.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain it.
• Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and product specs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Ram Extrusion Line, startup/shutdown and changeovers.
• Monitor extrusion process to meet quality specifications.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues related to temperature, cooling, feed rates, resin flow, and product quality.
• Load, monitor, refill, and exchange resin bins to maintain continuous production.
• Operate the AutoDrill, including setup, tooling changes, cleaning, changeovers, and quality inspections.
• Read and interpret manufacturing orders, blueprints, work instructions, and product specifications.
• Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring equipment including micrometers and calipers.
• Verify calibration of measuring equipment and complete production documentation and DCS entries.
• Process, document, and dispose of production scrap per procedures.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to transport materials safely.
• Complete required transactions in the M3 ERP system.
• Maintain 5S and clean work area.
• Identify equipment issues and submit maintenance work orders.
• Follow EHS policies and safe practices.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
